It’s been over a month since the initial release but there is a good chance that you may not yet have your hands on either of two newly launched devices from Xiaomi- Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro. Call it demand outstripping supply or a strategy by the company to retain interest through flash sales, the devices are a success! And now the company is opening doors for an open sale, meaning you won’t have to battle that online rush to buy a new Redmi Note 5 device.
The phone became available for purchase on the eCommerce platform, Flipkart.com and its official website mi.com from midnight today. But we suggest you carefully weigh in both the options because each of them is offering quite distinctive offers- bundled data, music subscription, and carrier (Jio) cashback on Mi.com while Flipkart is offering a 10% discount on its fashion catalog. Plus, if you want the device in rose gold or blue color, you will have to head to the official site because Flipkart will only be selling black and gold color variants.
If you don’t already know about the device, it comes with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display (18:9 aspect ratio) and is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC. You will have to pay Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB+32GB variant while the one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage costs Rs. 11,999.
However, if you are in line to buy the superior version- Note 5 Pro, you will have to wait for a while. The phone will go for pre-orders on 27 April and if you miss that slot, you may have to wait further before that device too eventually goes on open sale.
