Xiaomi is all set to release its flagship model Mi Mix 2. The model is to be launched in India at INR 35, 999/- ($551), which makes it the highest priced phone Xiaomi has released in the country yet. The phone is the successor of Mi Mix, and sports upgraded features and improved design and comes in a compact 5.99-inch 18:9 display, which makes it easier and handier to hold and carry. It comes with a higher resolution now at 2160×1080. The model skips the piezoelectric speaker below the display, unlike Mi Mix and instead has a traditional earpiece placed in a thin slit above it.
Like its elder cousin, Mi Mix 2 too comes in a ceramic display at the back. Which finely compliments with the new aluminum edges on the sides. In the Indian model you would find an 18K gold plating on the rim around the camera, that fits in with the design quite aesthetically.
Talking of the specs, the Mi Mix 2 comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, with 6GB of LPDDR4X dual channel memory. The phone has a massive internal storage space of 128GB. Which is a great plus for you if you need to have large sized media files on your phone.
The phone features high resolution 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 camera at the rear and a 5-megapixel camera over the front. With which you can take high detail photographs in different light conditions.
Mi Mix 2 is powered by a 3400mAh battery with a high standby capacity. The phone comes with a fast charging support and runs on MIUI 8 built on Android Nougat, which combinedly makes it a good deal to have in terms of performance.
You can buy Mi Mix 2 from October 17 onwards on Mi.com in an exclusive preview sale. The phone would be otherwise available in the Mi Home retail and partner stores from November onwards.
