Under its banner of Next Billion Users, Google introduced a trimmed-down lite version of its Android OS in the form of Android Go, late last year. It is designed to be specifically memory and power-efficient without compromising on the overall Android experience on low-end devices. And while it received a lukewarm response in the early days, now with companies like Nokia and Huawei onboard, the platform has really started to take off. The latest to join the league is Asus with its latest offering Zenfone Live L1.
With a 5.45-inch HD+ display of resolution 720×1440 and an aspect ratio of 18:9, it doesn’t look low-end in the first glance. Powered by Snapdragon 425 SoC and coupled with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, the phone comes with the full suite of Google apps preinstalled that are specially optimized for this version. Still, if you feel 1GB won’t cover your needs, another variant is available with 2GB RAM.

On the optics front, it has a 13MP rear camera with flash support and 5MP sensor on the front for selfies. Backed by a 3000mAh battery and running the latest Android Oreo 8.1 out-of-the-box, the phone is worth every bit of the IDR 1.5 million (Rs.7,185) asking price.
Available in midnight black, white, blue, and rose pink colors, the phone will hit the shelves around mid-may in Indonesia and other markets will follow soon hopefully!
